Product Description
Sodium butyrate is a white crystalline solid with an unpleasant odor. It is present in butter and animal fats in the form of glycerol esters and is the sodium salt of butyric acid.
It exhibits multiple effects on cultured mammalian cells, including the inhibition of cell proliferation, the induction of cellular differentiation, and the regulation of gene expression through both activation and repression.

Product Usage
Sodium butyrate acts as an inhibitor of histone deacetylase (HDAC) activity, contributing to the improvement of physiological disorders such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
In addition, it may serve as a potential antitumor agent. When combined with other cytotoxic agents, it has been shown to enhance therapeutic effects in the treatment of carcinomas.
