Product Description
Anhydrous sodium sulfite is a widely used inorganic chemical with high water solubility. Its aqueous solution is alkaline, and solubility increases with temperature—for example, 12.54 g/100 ml at 0 °C and 283 g/100 ml at 80 °C. It is insoluble in ethanol and nearly insoluble in ether. The compound has a relatively high melting point and is not prone to spontaneous combustion.
