Imidazolidinyl urea is used in biological studies investigating the antimicrobial synergistic effects of essential oils and surfactants against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. It is also applied in pharmacological research on nutrient activation and drug-protective effects related to metabolic shifts from mitochondrial respiration to glycolysis.
