Product Description
Hydroxypropyl starch ether (HPS) is a white, water-soluble fine powder produced from natural corn starch through modification, etherification, spraying, and drying processes. It differs from conventional or simply modified starches in its enhanced functional properties.
HPS improves the performance of cement- and gypsum-based dry mortars by enhancing workability, slip resistance, and thickening behavior. It is typically used in combination with cellulose ether, where both components act synergistically to improve mortar consistency, increase adhesion, and optimize overall performance.
