Product Description
Sodium metabisulfite is a widely used inorganic compound, typically appearing as a white or slightly yellowish crystalline powder or small crystals, with a pronounced sulfur dioxide odor. It has a density of 1.48 g/cm³ and is highly soluble in water, forming an acidic solution upon hydrolysis. Its solubility rises noticeably with the increase of temperature, recorded at 54 g/100 mL at 20℃ and 81.7 g/100 mL at 100℃. It is sparingly soluble in ethanol and stable under dry sealed conditions, while susceptible to oxidation and moisture absorption in open air.
