Product Usage

Dichloromethane is a non-flammable, low-boiling solvent widely used in cellulose acetate film formation, aerosols, and the production of antibiotics and vitamins. It also serves as an extraction agent, metal cleaning agent, and degreasing and film-removing chemical.

As a raw material, dichloromethane is used in the production of fungicides such as myclobutanil and imidaclozolin. In addition, it plays a significant role in organic synthesis and the manufacturing of cellulose triacetate fibers, petroleum dewaxing, and metal surface coatings.

Dichloromethane is also applied in grain fumigation and refrigeration systems, including low-pressure freezers and air-conditioning units. Furthermore, it functions as an auxiliary blowing agent in the production of polyether urethane foam and as a primary blowing agent for extruded polysulfone foam.
