Product Description
Tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) is a widely used phase transfer catalyst that can enhance reaction rates and effectively facilitate various chemical transformations. As a convenient iodine source, this reagent can generate the required iodide species in situ during reactions, eliminating the need for certain unstable and costly iodide compounds. In addition, TBAI is extensively applied in the dealkylation of esters and ethers.
