1H-Benzotriazole CAS#95-14-7

1.Effective Corrosion Inhibitor: 1H-Benzotriazole functions as a high-reliability anticorrosive agent, delivering stable corrosion protection for atmospheric, underwater and industrial service scenarios.

2.Versatile Industrial Applications: It enjoys extensive industrial utilization and is commonly formulated into aircraft deicing fluids, antifreeze solutions and dishwasher detergents.

3.Analytical and Chemical Application Value: This compound acts as a professional reagent for silver content determination and serves as an effective restrainer in photographic emulsions.

4.Functional Synthetic Intermediate: 1H-Benzotriazole is widely adopted as a key intermediate for the synthesis of amines derived from glyoxal, supporting a wide range of chemical production processes.

Product Description

1H-Benzotriazole is synthesized via the reaction of o-phenylenediamine with nitrous acid in dilute sulfuric acid. Damschrodner and Peterson successfully achieved a high yield of 80% by performing the nitrosation of o-phenylenediamine with sodium nitrite in a mixed solvent system consisting of glacial acetic acid and water.

As a high-efficiency anticorrosive agent, 1H-Benzotriazole is widely incorporated into aircraft deicing fluids and antifreeze solutions. It is also applicable to dishwasher detergent formulations and serves as a restrainer in photographic emulsions, as well as an analytical reagent for silver content determination. Furthermore, it offers reliable corrosion protection under both atmospheric and underwater conditions, and acts as a key material for the synthesis of amines derived from glyoxal.
