Diazolidinyl urea is suitable for use in both leave-on and rinse-off cosmetic products, including creams, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, liquid cosmetics, and eye makeup. It has been approved for use in both the United States and the European Union. The typical usage level is 0.1%–0.3%, and it is recommended to add it at temperatures below 50°C. It can also be combined with parabens and IPBC to improve its overall antimicrobial performance.
