Product Description
Carboxymethyl starch occurs as odorless, tasteless white to pale yellow fine powder or granules and possesses a comparatively high bulk density. It dissolves freely in both cold and hot water to yield a clear, colorless gelatinous solution, yet is insoluble in organic solvents including ethanol, ether and acetone. Its aqueous solubility increases when the degree of substitution exceeds 0.2.
