Product Description
Dodecyl succinic anhydride (DDSA) has CAS Registry Numbers 25377-73-5, 26544-38-7 and 19780-11-1, and a molecular weight of 266.38. It exists in two structural variants: linear (LDDSA) and branched (BDDSA). Linear DDSA (LDDSA) is extensively utilized as an epoxy resin curing agent, delivering a prolonged pot life, low irritation, and outstanding properties in the final cured product.
The substance is a pale yellow, transparent, oily viscous liquid. It features a relative density of 1.002, a melting point of 41–43°C, a boiling point of 180–182°C at 0.67 kPa, a refractive index of roughly 1.477, and a viscosity of approximately 590 mPa·s at 20°C. DDSA is soluble in acetone, toluene and petroleum ether, yet insoluble in water.

Product Application
DDSA is mainly used as a toughening curing agent for epoxy resin adhesives. Furthermore, it is utilized in the manufacturing of paper sizing agents, rust inhibitors, flexibility modifiers for alkyd resins, leather treatment agents, plasticizers, ink compounding agents, desiccants, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) stabilizers.
